Snooker Maximum for Burnett at Prestatyn

Jamie Burnett has become the seventh Scottish snooker player to compile a competitive maximum break. The 32-year-old from Hamilton knocked in the 147 during his 4-3 win over Liu Song at the Royal London Watches Grand Prix qualifiers at Prestatyn.

Amazingly, the break is not Burnett's highest as he constructed a 148 - made using a free ball - in the UK Championship qualifiers in 2004. It remains the highest in the history of the professional game.
