U2
U2 are the new 80s Forum Star of the 80s.
Not a fan, not in the slightest, but they were a huge part of the 80s set up and should be included here.
U2 are an Irish rock band formed in Dublin, featuring Bono (Paul David Hewson) on vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica; The Edge (David Howell Evans) on lead guitar, keyboards and backing vocals; Adam Clayton on bass guitar; and Larry Mullen, Jr. on drums and occasionally backing vocals.
Formed in 1976, U2 has consistently remained among the most popular acts in the world since the mid 1980s. The band has sold approximately 50.5 million albums in the U.S., according to the RIAA, and upwards of 170 million worldwide, has had six #1 albums in the US and nine #1 albums in the UK and are one of the most successful bands of the rock era.

New Homepage for The 80s website
A new (Beta) homepage for the all80s has just been created, check it out and let us know what you think.
It is XHTML and CSS compliant, this took a long time to sort as the original homepage was filled with errors.
As it states, it's only in Beta stage at the moment and will not go live until I am completely satisfied with it.... which will probably be never, but what can you do.
Hope you all like it.

Ne-Yo: 'I hung up on Michael Jackson'
R&B singer Ne-Yo has revealed that he once hung up the phone on Michael Jackson by mistake.
Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith, did not believe that Jackson would personally call him on his mobile, so switched off his phone thinking it was a prank.
He told GMTV: "It was my personal cell phone - Michael Jackson doesn't call people on their cell phone - at least I didn't think he did!
"His people called back a few minutes later... I actually had to lie because I was so embarrassed. I was like, 'Yeah, I was driving through a tunnel, and then it... disconnected?'"

Bon Jovi to be sued for $400 billion
Rock group Bon Jovi is apparently being sued a massive $400 billion (£216 billion) after an American musician accused its frontman of stealing his lyrics.
The Boston Herald reports that Massachusetts-based musician Samuel Bartley Steele claims Jon Bon Jovi plagiarised his 2004 song '(Man I Really) Love This Team'.
Steele alleges the rocker heard the song and used the track's lyrics to create 'I Love This Town'.
He said: "I know I’m the little fish and they’re the big fish, but they f**ked with the wrong piranha. I want credit, acknowledgement and an apology. I know that I’m right."
Bon Jovi's spokesman was not available for comment, the paper reports.
